UTSOPI is the Belgian Union of Sex Workers. We are led by sex workers and managed with allies. We fight for agency, autonomy, and rights. More rights mean more choices. We fight for independence: the independence of our choices, our bodies, our lives.
UTSOPI defends the rights of sex workers in Belgium. We do this primarily through our political work, by engaging in any discussion or political decision-making process that affects the lives and working conditions of sex workers.

Additionally, UTSOPI aims to change the collective imagination surrounding sex work and break stereotypes. Laws aiming to end discrimination against sex workers will be of little use if sex workers continue to be stigmatized. That needs to change. To achieve this, we collaborate with journalists, scriptwriters, writers, and filmmakers. We offer training in schools, to the police, to social welfare services, and to other services that often come into contact with sex workers.

Finally, we want to bring sex workers together in a safe space. Monthly events are organized in different locations across the country, where sex workers can meet, speak freely, and learn from each other.
