Garance is a non-profit organization that fights against gender-based violence through primary prevention, which means acting before violence occurs to prevent it from happening or existing.
As such, we regularly provide workshops on verbal defense and feminist self-defense. Our trainings are open to all women, as self-defined, cis or trans, as well as non-binary individuals. No athletic ability is necessary to participate in our activities. Our approach is participatory and aims for the autonomy of all.

We also organize trainings tailored to the specific realities of girls, gender minorities, racialized women, and women with disabilities.

Our workshops are spaces where everyone can express themselves, learn, and exchange in a respectful manner, within a safe framework without discrimination or abuse. We regularly collaborate with shelters, asylum seeker centers, organizations for lifelong education and social cohesion, and other local authorities.
